About us

In 1994 the farm Ludendorf near Grootfontein was bought and the first arable land was sown with corn.

The farm stands on many different disciplines of farming. The commercial cattle herd where bulls for slaughter are produced for the market.

The studs are namely Simmentaler, Brahman and Boran. Here bulls and cows are provided to stud breeders and commercial farmers.
After which transport becomes a part of the business.

The arable farming has become a fairly large branch, and we try to get enough of a reserve for the cattle to ensure good recovery from bad years. We produce our own feed for the cattle.

GÜNZEL Farming history

Tobias Günzel, born in 1898 in Lausitz/ Sachsen, Germany, after the second world war, immigrated to South West Africa to make a living there and work as a building contractor as a start. His sister was already living on the farm, Okamutombe, near Grootfontein, that is why he started working on the surrounding farms.
